American Hebrew Academy STEAM Powered Event

We joined the VEX Teams of the Mecha-Eagles Robotics Club and Hurricane Robotics Club for a friendly competition as a part of the STEAM Powered event at the American Hebrew Academy in Greensboro NC. Each team had a table to display their robot. There were lots of interested people who asked many questions about the robot, and we even gave them a chance to drive our robot. Every hour we played a few matches, and the crowd was very energetic and exited. At the STEAM Powered Event, there were many technology demonstrations and presentations about 3D Printing, Arduino, Ozobots, Lego EV3, and even a Robotic Submarine in the swimming pool! We really liked our tour of the AHA Botany Lab where they grew all of their plants using hydroponics.

Ephesus Elementary School STEaM Night

We partnered with VEX team 27514A Falcons and brought our robots to Ephesus Elementary School in Chapel Hill, NC for a fun hands-on demonstration at STEaM night.  Many students and their parents have never thought of robotics for younger kids, and were keen to learn about VEX IQ robots and regional VEX IQ competitions in North Carolina.  They were also excited to know that once they start middle school, they can join Phillips MS VEX Robotics team -- 27514A Falcons.
