Tournament Results

This was our very first competition, and we won the Judges Award!

Robot Features

At first, we did not have much experience designing robots, so we looked at other teams' designs for ideas. We based the arm on the University of Kentucky's starter bot arm. Our chassis is similar to the Super ClawBot design, but we added 2 more motors to make it more powerful. Our claw is a larger version of the original claw from the ClawBot. And we had an original linear track motion design for the scoop to lift up the mobile goals.

Our robot could stack up to 5 cones on the mobile goals and move them into any scoring zone.  For the tournament, we also had a 15 second long autonomous code to score 10 points, but it was actually longer than 15 seconds and could not complete the action on time.

Skills Challenge

In Skills Challenge, we were able to score 32 points in Driver-Controlled, and 20 points in Autonomous game.  We were ranked 2nd among Middle Schools and 8th overall.

Tournament

In the tournament we won 4 times and lost 3 times. That gave us 8 win points, 0 autonomous points and 208 strength of schedule points.

We were ranked in 17th place and were selected into the 7th alliance with the RoboKnights and AMS Robotics Team. We lost in the Quarter-finals.
